Event: Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de Filming
Date: 8th July 2012, Sunday
Country: Singapore

Starting from the very beginning, I slept till 8.20PM due to the assurance from Amber that she would notify me if anything were to happen at the location, Merlion Park. Woke up at 8.20PM due to an SMS and also a phone call from Ellie and Amber respectively. Both were news that they were going to start filming as the crew members were setting up the equipment at Merlion Park. I tried desperately to rush there asap but I had to at least tidy up for the show that I was going to watch with my parents later.

Reached the area at about 9.45AM and missed 2 of the scenes that they were filming. I immediately looked for the group and missed Ellie completely as I wasn't paying much attention due to the fact that I had already found the group of people and took it for granted that she was also at the area. And this comes the emotional roller coaster ride story that I would be going through.

I have already started with the feeling of hopefulness when I got the phone call to panicking through my morning with the rush to look for clothes to wear and the train ride to Raffles Place. To continue on, I was excited to see him and at the same time, thoughts raced through my head as I was trying to calm myself down that today is not going to be an unfruitful day. And...

I SAW HIM. I SAW SAKURAI SHO. I SAW THIS ONE MAN WHO IS ONE OF THE FIVE THAT MADE ME LAUGH AS HARD AS I EVER COULD. I SAW THIS ONE MAN WHO MANAGED TO MAKE ME GO ALL THE WAY DOWN TO HARBOURFRONT AND WAITED FOR HIM THERE FOR A FEW HOURS AND WENT BACK FEELING DISAPPOINTED. I SAW THIS ONE MAN WHO WALKED PAST ME WITHOUT ME NOTICING HIM. I SAW THIS ONE MAN WHO IS ONE OF THE FEW IDOLS THAT TRULY STIRRED UP THE STORM IN MY HEART. I SAW THIS ONE MAN WHO FEELS SO SURREAL, THIS ONE MAN WHO FEELS LIKE A DREAM MORE THAN A REALITY.

That was basically a summarized version of the feeling I felt at the point when I actually see him, at the point when I actually layed my eyes on him. A flood of emotions ran through me and the tons of things I wanted to say just refused to make its way out of my mouth. The feelings I held in my heart for several years almost had me bursting into tears and I would have if Sziyi was actually there. I was afraid to be looked down upon by the others that were there. I was holding my tears as the flood of emotions burst through me. I was shocked, surprised and it actually feels like my heart was going to explode with all the emotions that I was feeling at that point of time. It was as if I never knew this person actually existed and I knew if I were going to narrate the whole story to someone, they would not understand and I would be the one bursting into tears during the narration.

They filmed at Merlion Park for a good few hours before they wrapped up the filming.  One of the crew member was taking videos of us, which we presumed it to be for the filming, and we didn't notice until the camera was pointing at us. We stayed in the sun for the several hours and went to get a few cups of drinks at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaves. While we stayed in there, the filming continued and we were disallowed to go out of the shop. A staff came in to shout at us for standing too close to the exit and we were forced to retreat to the end as there were no seats available in the shop. They (Sho and Keiko) were so close. They came so close to the shop that we were only a few meters away from them. The only thought I had was that "if only there wasn't a piece of glass that separated us". It was more than just a breathless feeling. It was this feeling of euphoria that raced through me, that feeling that didn't allow me to think properly and all I could do was to stay rooted to the ground and stare (albeit rudely). Amber took a photo despite the no photos warning but it was like ninja so all was good.

Raced back to meet the others and went on a frenzy. Everyone did. The filming then continued when they came out from the shop again. It wasn't much but it was the feeling of "being there" and seeing him in person that made us over the moon sun. Keiko went behind the screen, a place that is very visible to us, to hide from the sun and also to listen to certain instructions that was being given out. We waved to her and she acknowledged our presence by nodding at us. Not only once, but at least thrice or more. We felt heartened and contented by the fact that there was actually someone who noticed us. We wanted to wave and call out to Sho but he had this aura around him and he hid behind the giant umbrella most of the time when he walked past. It was only until the filming ended that everyone was dispersing to different areas.

We went towards the area where Sho and Keiko stood, the area where they actually did the filming. Amber and I-forgot-her-name actually went to reenact the scene and their photo got taken by one of the staff that was present. Not to mention that we actually took a photo too but hey, we were actually not part of the staff! With some persuasion on Robin's part, he agreed to send the picture to Robin. We then talked to a few crew members and one of which was this ridiculously handsome Japanese guy who spoke to us. He was the first person that made my heart race after counting each and every of my idols. The voice, his gestures, his smile~ all of it are etched deeply into my brain. I feel ridiculous for liking someone out of my league but I could not help it. But then again, he is out of the story. I am out of the story. I am not pretty, not skinny, not cute, not anything. The type that guys would never like so I practically gave up on any type of romance in my life (well, sort of!).

Stayed around the area and went into the shop where they had their breaks. It was a pub that wasn't open in the morning so they borrowed it for holding purposes and put up black paper to cover the transparent doors. We went in to take pictures and stayed in there for the cooling wind that was generated by the electric ceiling fans. After which, we went out to Fullerton Hotel where we contemplated on where to go next. Amber and her friend had to leave us after that as she had extra classes to attend.

-many things happened in between that I might fill in the next day or so-

Honda-san called to inform us that the filming is continuing at Louis Vuitton flagship shop at Marina Bay Sands. We rushed there immediately after hearing the news and even got a cab to ferry us all the way to Marina Bay Sands from Fullerton Hotel. We walked the place for 30 minutes as we could not see anything at Louis Vuitton. We took the opposite direction and saw them, rushed there, and called our group of people over. They were filming on board the river cruise boat that was circling around outside Marina Bay Sands and we couldn't get a clear view of them. However, we did notice crazy antics from the far distance that made us go "aww~".

I had to leave soon after that at about 3 so I did not get to witness anything else after that. Heard that Sho did some dance after the filming and waved at the fans. Disappointed that I missed it but not disappointed that I went for all these crazy stuff that I would probably only experience once. I am thankful for all the people that made today a fruitful day and I would never forget the whole lot of you who actually made my day despite me not being part of the actual group. Thank you for accepting me into this group.

Event Date: 11/11/11

This marks the day where I got chided for going for these 2 events despite having a bad leg (I sprained my ankle the day before). But honestly, I have mixed feelings about this...

Despite having an ankle that was sprained and hurt so much that I could not go to school, I was determined to go for both the Meet-and-Greet and the Gala Premiere because I have been looking forward to these 2 events since the day I know about Tatsuya Fujiwara coming to Singapore. I had mixed feelings about the Meet-and-Greet but I still decided to go for it in the end.

I left my house at 4.45PM and only reached NEX at about 5.45PM. It took me half an hour longer to get to the place because of my bad ankle. Sitting down on the floor with Sziyi (and got reprimanded by her because I was being very stubborn. Sorry. D:), we waited for the event to start at approximately 7PM. Half of the people gathered there were actually Japanese fans and the rest are mostly Death Note fans. The whole area was crowded, even at the 2nd level of NEX where fans also gathered.

Tatsuya Fujiwara was late to the event by 1 hour. I heard he only arrived at 8.00PM (or even later). It might be due to the prolonged press conference that he had at Fullerton Hotel. His schedule was crazily rushed yesterday with press conference, meet-and-greet and the gala premiere being one after the other. The emcee was trying to drag the time by getting audience members to play games while waiting and despite me raising up my hands as high as I could in the air, I never got picked. I am never picked for these kind of things but yet, I was disappointed. We left before Fujiwara came because we had to rush to Cathay (and the time we would take is also longer because I can't run...). I was disappointed for a moment but in the end, I got over it and headed over to Cathay.

We could see fans gathering around the red carpet at the entrance of Cathay while they waited for the appearance of Tatsuya Fujiwara. However, we skipped the red carpet and headed straight for Cathay at which we have to actually queue to redeem my tickets. I was not given a poster with the tickets and I felt a little disappointed. Nevertheless, we went to an area to sit while I ogled at the posters that was everywhere in the cinema area. We took pictures and flail a little more before heading towards the designated theater (Hall 7) in which we waited for the arrival of Fujiwara.

He appeared! He appeared in all black and received questions from the emcee that was there. I, at that point of time, honestly thought that he looked so much better in casual clothing. During the Gala Premiere, it seemed that the clothing was too refined and well, it just looked kind of awkward. He was so cute, shielding his eyes from the strong glare of camera lights that was directed at him. He continuously looked down because the light was too blinding and there were flashes of camera lights and everyone took pictures to our hearts' content (well, everyone except me because the lighting was too horrible and I could not capture his face properly). He spoke and answered a few questions before he left. And right before he left, we actually did something crazy again. We (Sziyi and I) counted to 3 and shouted, "FUJIWARA-SAN, HONTOU NI KAKKOI DESU!" It seemed like we do that for many events and I don't get embarrassed doing that anymore. Oh dear, this is really not good.

We watched the movie with our spirits still high and I was still flailing over him in my head when it was about 10mins into the movie. I have to say that the movie is not really ~amazing~ but I kind of liked it. I have to say for sure that the movie don't do justice to his facial features. He is really much better looking in person. I would have loved to see Yoshitaka Yuriko too and it is a pity that she was not here with him.

The only bad thing that happened throughout this event was my injured ankle and my phone that actually broke down due to my carelessness. This also marks my first experience going to a Gala Premiere. Seeing him (even though it was only for a few minutes) was worth it.

Thank you Fujiwara, for coming all the way to Singapore to promote Kaiji 2, and thank you Sziyi, for accompanying me to the airport early in the morning on Thursday (10/11/11). Hope you had a good experience in Singapore and have a safe trip back to Japan!

I really enjoyed this whole event to it's fullest.

I have been bugging Sziyi to go with me to the airport for 1 whole day and she finally agreed to at the end of our long conversation of about 5 hours? So we woke up very early in the morning and went on a airport spazzing session at about 6.45AM or so.

The plane touched touched down in Changi Airport at 6.33AM and I reached the airport at about 6.15AM. There were a couple of fangirls/fanboys that I spotted and one of them actually cosplayed as a Japanese school boy (It was a girl I swear). There was one who had this huge DSLR with tons of camera-related equipment in his huge bag and another with 2 giant boards. I "screamed" for Sziyi to fly here because he will be coming out anytime soon.

At about 7.00AM or 7.15AM, he appeared in the Arrival area. Guilty of spotting him because there were a few people around him and I recognised him. Sziyi spotted him because he took off his shades (in which, I did not happen to witness). We were following his movements when he was still inside and started squealing when he walked out. He was shocked and actually said, "Sugoi~".

One by one, we tried to ask him for his autograph and stupid me actually forgot to bring nice paper so I stole one of Sziyi's sketching book paper for him to sign on. He must have thought that I was weird for asking him for 2 autographs but he still signed twice nonetheless. Yes, I was so close to him and honestly, I was speechless and I could not think of anything to say. Our first thought of asking him for a picture together actually flew away. The group of us followed him all the way to his car and stayed there until they left. A couple of girls managed to pass their gifts for Fujiwara to his manager and while sitting in the car, he actually turned back a couple of times. It was a pity that the car was too dark inside and we were not able to snap some good pictures.

This is one of the best experience of "welcoming" an actor in the airport. I have never walked with an actor (that I like) all the way from the Arrival Hall to his car. I might never get this experience again so I am actually enjoyed it while it lasts. Honestly, even the films don't do his appearance a justice. He is so much more good-looking in real life and much much more handsome/cute. If only I can rewind the time back to 2 days ago....

I never regretted waking up so early in the morning just to see someone at the airport. Honestly.

& he actually looks good both with and without sunglasses.
